Shively Vow Renewal | Japanese Tea Garden Phoenix

I always do a FaceTime/call/in person meeting with my future couples before their big day. We have to chat about their vision, their special day, and also I love to hear their story. When Ryan and Mandy reached out to me and told me they were going to renew their vows I was STOKED.

When I walked into the Japanese Tea Garden in Phoenix I literally felt that I had stepped into another place, away from the desert and heat. We got the place to ourselves. It was so serene. So green. So so nice. I was running around everywhere trying to get all the angles, all the things so I could get the perfect shot.

I always tell my couples, once we’ve gotten comfortable and gotten to know each other, pretend I am not here. Its just the two of you. I love to see what I get when I say that. These two were whispering in each others ear and tearing up as they read their vows to one another. It was the sweetest thing ever. They were just so happy to be there celebrating one another and I got to witness it.

Its so true what they say, when you love what you do, it does not feel like work.
