Meeuwesen Family | Superstition Mountains

When Chelsea reached out she told me they just moved out from the Pacific North West. She was very specific about wanting something that would truly capture the Arizona vibe. I knew exactly where I needed to take them: Lost Dutchman State Park in the Superstition Mountains.

Mom was super nervous about that littlest would not cooperate, and as usual, I told her let’s go at his pace. I told the kids we would go on an adventure and that there would be some cool hiking, views and lots of breaks. Their little dude perked right up and off we went. There were times he was playing with rocks, his car, or just exploring. And guess what, he did AMAZING.

Mom and dad even joined in on the fun, playful nature. This in turn, lit up the kids. I cannot stress this enough, play, slow down, and lets have fun. I always tell my clients, your true feelings during the session will show through in the pictures. Literally, one of my favorite sessions of all time.

We basically followed the sun throughout the session. The photos we got are literal GOLD. It was one of those where I knew from the photos shot straight from my camera that the final edit would be breathtaking. And boy was I right.

See for yourself.
