There is something so special about photographing families in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the little details that tell their story. This in-home newborn session was filled with tender moments, soft light, and the quiet joy of welcoming a new baby into the world.
When I arrived, I could immediately feel the warmth and connection this family shares. We started our session together on the couch with grandma and grandpa (which was extra special), then we moved on to the master bedroom, where everyone gathered on the bed to snuggle their newest addition. Big sisters were so gentle and proud, taking turns to peek at their baby sister’s tiny features. Their sweet smiles and the way they leaned in close to her were enough to melt anyone’s heart.
One of my favorite images from this session is of the two older sisters carefully cradling their swaddled sister. The tenderness in their expressions says everything—she is already so loved.
We also took time to capture quiet moments with mom and dad in the nursery. With a beautiful blush canopy over the crib and thoughtfully chosen details throughout the space, it was the perfect backdrop to document this new chapter. Watching these two admire their baby girl together was such a reminder of how quickly time passes and how important it is to pause and preserve these early days.
